Introduction to Virtual Reality: Domestic Violence
We are pleased to invite you to a Virtual Reality (VR) session as part of Domestic Abuse Practice Week.
This session is directed at social workers and frontline practitioners, with priority given to those who have not participated in any previous VR sessions organised by Haringey Council.
Session Overview: The topic of the session will be Domestic Abuse. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Experience VR technology and explore its potential applications in social work practice.
- Gain insight into the world of children exposed to domestic abuse.
- Understand the impact of trauma on brain development and future life outcomes.
- Reflect on strategies to best support young people who have experienced domestic violence.
