HCA - How to communicate with children and young people who require additional support with their communication

This training is facilitated by our colleagues from the Speech and Language Therapy Service 

This will be a face-to-face training session on Monday 16^th May 2022 at George Meehan House (Westbury Room), 1pm- 4pm.  A second face- to- face session is also being held on Monday 31^st October, 1pm- 4pm (location to be confirmed). 

By the end of the session, Participants will:

• Recognise when a child or young person requires additional support with their communication
• Identify different modes and means of communication for children with additional speech and language needs
• Use their knowledge of the Speech and Language service to judge when to contact the SALT for their child/ young person with additional communication needs
