HCA - Interlink - Cultural awareness training: Understanding the Orthodox Jewish (Charedi) Community
This is a cultural awareness training session on 'Understanding the Orthodox Jewish (Charedi) Community'
This 2 and a half hour session will be hosted by Mrs Malky Davidovits- Charity Support Services from Interlink
The awareness session will cover:
- Belief system and centrality of Torah
- Religious Practices
- The Jewish calendar and Sabbath
- Family life
- Social and cultural norms
- Kosher food
- Community infrastructure
- Socio-economic profile including demographic information
- Challenges facing the community and barriers in accessing services
- Understanding the Orthodox Jewish Community also looks at strategies for
- Building relationships with mainstream agencies
