HCA & YJS- Safety Planning: A Tool to Support the Safeguarding of Young People at Risk of Extra-Familial Harm

Key objectives:
1.Craft Individual Safety Strategies: Tailor safety plans for each at-risk youth, addressing specific vulnerabilities.
2.Elevate Risk Awareness: Boost understanding of extra-familial harm among youth, caregivers, and professionals.
3.Foster Unified Responses: Enhance collaboration across agencies for effective safeguarding.
4.Involve and Educate Youth: Engage young people in safety planning and resilience-building.
5.Ensure Support and Adaptability: Provide continuous access to support services and regularly update safety plans.
Aims:
This course is designed to equip learners
with an understanding of Contextual
Safeguarding and Safety Planning
Interventions (SPIs). Participants will be
trained to develop SPIs effectively and know
where to seek further support and reading.
