HCA - Signs of safety

The standard training module for practitioners involved in completing assessments and wanting to use the Signs of Safety approach is delivered via a 2-day training course. It is designed for all practitioners, supervisors and managers working with children where there are concerns about their safety and well-being.

This course will provide:

• An introduction to the Signs of Safety approach
• Opportunities for participants to practice using the approach on their own cases
• A demonstration of the model using a case study - case mapping with trainer using appreciative enquiries, solution focused questioning.
• An introduction to Safety Planning
• An introduction to tools which support direct work with children
