Haringey C-Card Scheme - Information session: Sexual health training
Debbie Young has been commissioned by Haringey Public Health to deliver C-Card (condom) training to services who wish to join the Haringey C-Card scheme and be a C-Card Outlet.
This initiative is essential as STI rates, particularly chlamydia and gonorrhoea, are increasing amongst 15–24-year-olds. By removing barriers like cost and embarrassment, the C-Card scheme helps young people protect themselves with free condoms and accurate sexual health information at accessible locations (outlets) across the borough.
They are excited to re-launch the C-Card scheme in January 2025, and are inviting your service to join their free online information session on Thursday 28th November, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
This session will:
- Provide an overview of Haringey’s C-Card scheme;
- Clarify what it means to be a C-Card Outlet;
- Outline the new topics that have been added to the C-Card training for 2025; and
- Introduce the new C-Card Champion initiative.
Haringey Public Health is keen for the C-Card scheme to be embedded within core services so that condoms and accurate sexual health information are easily accessible to young people, particularly those that need them most.
