HCA- Court Room Skills- Facilitated by Kirsten McNamara

The aim of this training is to improve and enhance social workers court room skills and confidence in court.

The training will cover the following:

1. Guidance about preparing to give evidence and preparing for court generally;
2. Practicing being a witnesses including cross examination in a  ‘mock court’ exercise;
3. How best to work with the Guardian in proceedings
4. Understanding the court timetable and PLO guidance
5. Respond to any questions the participants may have in relation to court.
