For Babys Sake - The importance of timing and preparation for endings in working with families.
19th March 2026 10:30pm – 12:30pm
Online multi-Agency Session
The importance of timing and preparation for endings in working with families.
- Supporting professional understanding of how to pace, phase and plan endings when working with families in Family hubs and how to ensure parental confidence and resilience exists within the 1001 critical days.
- Exploring themes around endings and how they are experienced individually and as part of a cultural collective.
For Baby’s Sake empowers expectant co-parents to make changes that last, for themselves and their baby.
Early Help Service and For Babys Sake are working together to promote collective practice. Enabling practitioners across the borough to refer to their consent based therapeutic programme For Baby’s Sake Referral Form, alongside accessing the “Past Present and Future” learning experience available during Spring 2026.
Our Approach: Past, Present, Future – Looking back to look forward
- Past: Understand the experiences that have shaped family patterns and behaviours.
- Present: Respond to current challenges with curiosity and respect, avoiding judgment.
- Future: Empower families to build resilience and create positive, sustainable change.
By adopting a trauma-focused lens, practitioners can respond with empathy, reduce harm, and promote healing. We can learn together to ask not only ‘what is this parent doing’ but also consider ‘what happened to this parent’
