Adolescence Mental Health Training

Target Audience

 This workshop is a valuable training session for professionals who work with, or have contact with, young people aged 12-18 and their families. It is particularly relevant for:

 General practitioners (GPs), as they are often the primary point of referral

Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs)

School nurses

Pastoral leads and safeguarding officers

 Training Description

 This session will support colleagues to develop a clear understanding of some of the Haringey mental health support services and support available for adolescents.

It will focus on how distress and mental health difficulties may present in adolescence.

It will also provide an overview of referral pathways and processes to ensure appropriate and timely access to support, as well as the steps taken when safeguarding concerns arise.

 To develop an understanding of professional roles and responsibilities in the assessment and treatment of children and young people aged 12-18
