Family Group Conference Information Sessions

Family Group Conference Information sessions will be facilitated by Yaminah Reid-Morgan (FGC Co-ordinator) and Tito Gbadamosi (Assistant FGC Co-ordinator). There will be three sessions available on: 

• Wednesday 10^thSeptember 2025 at 11.30-12.15 
• Wednesday 19^thNovember 2025 at 12.00-12.45
• Tuesday 9^thDecember 2025 at 11.30-12.15

With the publication of the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, 'family group decision-making' meetings - including FGCs - are expected to become an important part of the support offered to children and their families. 

Come along to an information session to learn more about:

• The best way to make a referral, including how to explain the FGC to families
• The importance of consent within the FGC process
• How to write effective referrer's questions
• The roles and responsibilities of coordinators, referrers and families
• What to expect when you make a referral, including on the day of an FGC

 We will also be providing helpful documentation that you can take away.
