The learning event will be opened by the HSCP Independent Chair, David Archibald and speakers will include senior Leaders across the Partnership.
Target Group: This half day workshop is aimed at practitioners and managers in Children’s Services, health providers, education, voluntary, independent and other relevant agencies who work predominantly with children, young people and/or their parents/carers and who could contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of a child and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding concerns.
Course Aim: To provide participants with the opportunity to explore learning from serious case reviews and learning reviews. This will include findings from local investigations and will consider the implications for local practice in Haringey across the Safeguarding Children’s Partnership.
By the end of the workshop participants will have:
- Considered lessons from serious case reviews, learning reviews and the implications for practice
- Examined information sharing in a multi-agency context
- Gained an understanding of roles and responsibilities of organisations and practitioners in effective collaboration to safeguard children and young people
- Considered barriers to taking learning into practice
