Early Recognition and Management of Fabricated or Induced Illness (FII) and Perplexing Presentations (PP)

Course Aims 
To outline the dynamics underlying FII so as to enable professionals to recognise and manage PP and FII, and to minimise harm.

- How respond to alerting signs 
- Distinguishing between the need for immediate protection and a more open and measured approach
- Implementing a protective, rehabilitation plan
- When to refer to Children’s social care
- Multidisciplinary work with the centrality of the paediatric role
