HCA: Bitesize training- Exploitation training

This training session will be hosted by the Exploitation and Safeguarding Team.

This is a Bitesize-training session on Exploitation.

Session summary:

This training will be covering the core definitions and give an overview to practitioners about exploitation, missing and terminology.
This will assist in upskilling and supporting professionals to identify and assess effectively with regards to working with families and young people who are victims of exploitation.
There will be a chance to go through a case study as a part of the interactive training and the outcomes and objectives is to ensure that practitioners are now comfortable when referring to and dealing with young people and families affected by exploitation.

This training session will briefly cover these topics:
• Language, definitions and identification
• Missing person (policy/ procedures/ best practice to nurture safety and engagement/ drawing the young person back)
• Gangs (grooming/ sexual exploitation/ county lines…)
